Regarding food, there are quite a few excellent eating establishments in both Lower and Upper Grand Lagoon, including Hammerhead Fred’s, Pineapple Willy’s, Pier 77 Seafood Restaraunt, Billy’s Oyster Bar, and Crab House, and for those with a sweet tooth, Gypsea Crepes. Moreover, Dat Cajun Place hosts a seafood boil every Friday night throughout the year. Shrimp is served when crawfish is not in season.
